About Southeast Development Corporation

Southeast Development Corporation (SDC) is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to economic development. Although we are not a government agency, we work in partnership with local, state and federal governments to provide affordable financing for businesses.

As an alternative funding source, SDC does not compete with private lenders but uses its funding in combination with bank loans. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the level of funding needed by small business and what private lenders can offer.

Since 1988, we have helped more than 210 businesses secure over $76 million in total financing. In turn, those businesses have created or retained at least 3,700 jobs.

We specialize in the SBA 504 Loan Product that provides up to 90% financing for businesses purchasing commercial real estate or machinery and equipment. It is the first national financing program to recognize the contributions of healthy, expanding small and medium-sized businesses toward job growth in the U.S.

As the certified development corporation for your area, we are the only organization that can offer these loans.

In partnership with the lender, we work directly with a business to package, process, close and service the 504 Loan.
